Nurturing Friendships Later in Life

The Heart’s Way, Imagery and Insights

Introduction

Nurturing friendships later in life is vitally important to both our physical health and mental health.

Today’s blog post will be a departure from the traditional type of blog post published here at The Heart’s Way, Imagery and Insights. Instead of being written, this blog post will be in the form of a video!

Before we begin, let me preface this video by saying that in many ways, this is a topic that is near and dear to my heart. Over the last few years, I have come to realize that nurturing friendships later in life is an essential part to my overall feeling of happiness and contentment. As I’ll explain in the video, we can have many kinds of friendships, but one type of friendship that I truly appreciate fits into the category of long-lost but now renewed friendships from years past.

Having friends is so important folks, especially as we mature. In order to honor friendships, especially long-standing friendships, I decided to add a special picture on the cover of this post. These ladies, now sadly all departed, were shining examples of what friends (and sisters-in-laws) could be. They went through a lot in their lives and valued what mattered in life. I personally learned much from them, as they helped to shape me to be the person I am today. I miss all three ladies.
